Psychological Testing and Assessment

St John’s Cathedral Counselling Service provides psychological testing services in the areas of Special Education Needs (SEN) and mental health. Our assessment and testing model is comprehensive, conducted by psychologists and supported by clinical social workers and counsellors.

We offer four Special Education Needs (SEN) assessment packages:

  • Intelligence/giftedness Assessment
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Assessment
  • Dyslexia Assessment
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder

Programme timeline

These assessments are conducted by psychologists and take an average between 6 to 10 hours conducted over several visits. The process normally includes in-depth interviews, explorations on past academic and medical information, questionnaires and standardised testing tools to measure language, visual-spatial abilities, reasoning abilities, attention and concentration and memory, etc.

Our methodology

Assessment results provide clarification and precise information concerning the student’s academic strengths and weaknesses. Once the assessment is complete, a series of personalised recommendations is provided to help the student develop learning strategies. The student and parents are provided with assessment results and personalised recommendations during the final feedback session. St John’s Cathedral Counselling Service will not disclose any personal information or assessment results to anyone without the student and/or parent’s written consent.

Please contact our office at 2525 7207 or email to info@sjccs.hk for the pricing of these assessment packages.
