Joyce is a licensed social worker & counsellor whose professional interests include working with individuals and couples on a broad range of issues including trauma, grief/loss, relationship issues, life transitions, self harm, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation and stress management.
Joyce is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Polyvagal-informed therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology, Person-Centered Therapy, Logotherapy, suicide prevention (The Samaritans of New York) and Mental Health First Aid (NYC).
As a counsellor, Joyce strongly believes in starting where the client is and strives to tailor therapy to each client’s specific needs and help them develop a personalized toolbox for their unique situations.
In addition to mental health, Joyce also worked in the fashion industry as an associate buyer at Saks Fifth Avenue (NYC).
Joyce conducts therapy in English, Tagalog & Hokkien.
