Jen is a counselling therapist and holds a master’s degree in counselling from Australia. Originally from South Africa, she moved with her family to Hong Kong 13 years ago. She has been involved in the business & healthcare industry as well as the educational sector for the last 20 years. Her passion for mental health stems from observing the myriad challenges people face in a cross-cultural community and understands first-hand the issues and dynamics that many expatriates and their families face.

Her key areas of work include providing individual and couples therapy with a special interest in trauma, divorce, marital and relational discord, parenting, grief, loss and
life transitions.

Jen believes that her life experiences bring compassion and understanding to the sessions. To foster a strong working relationship, Jen uses a person-centred approach and draws from a wide range of modalities including Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR Therapy as well as Positive psychology. Jen collaborates with her clients to understand themselves better thereby empowering them to build a positive
framework for a brighter future.
