Dallas Sanders
Master of Social Sciences in Counselling (The University of Hong Kong)
Registered Teacher (Education Bureau – EDB)
Member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA)
Dallas came to Hong Kong as a teacher in 2010, working in local schools. After dealing with students with a wide variety of mental health challenges, he was inspired to study counselling at the University of Hong Kong. He has experienced a lot of struggles, such as anxiety, depression, the transition to a new environment, as well as more nuanced challenges around grief, learning challenges and sexual orientation.
Since joining St. John’s in 2022, he has been lucky to help clients working with the transition from university to work, ADHD, the challenges of the LGBTI+ community, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, relationship conflicts and the pressures of the education system.
Dallas helps clients using evidence-based approaches, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness, to discover their uniqueness and foster a genuine, non-judgmental attitude that supports personal growth, deepens their identity, and enhances motivation and resilience throughout various life stages.
Dallas offers counselling in English.
