Sitara Samtani is a counsellor with a particular interest in the issues that affect the mental health and emotional wellbeing of children, teenagers and young adults. 

Sitara aims to collaboratively develop goals for her clients using the principles of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to support her clients and their needs. She helps individuals on a range of issues such as anger management, anxiety, self-esteem, and stress. Her goal is to offer a safe space and help the individual understand their needs better to bring a change in thoughts, feelings and behavior.

Additionally, Sitara assists with psychoeducational assessments. She works with psychologists at St. John’s to understand the root cause of an individual’s academic or behavioural issues using standardised assessments. She is experienced in psychoeducational assessments and counselling individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders including Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and learning disabilities such as dyslexia.
