Kay arrived in Hong Kong in 1984 and after working in the corporate world, qualified as a counsellor with the University of Newcastle, UK in 2006.
Over the past 20 years, she has built up a wealth of professional expertise with a diverse range of clients on issues relating to anxiety and depression, mood regulation, relationships, marital conflict, loss and bereavement.
As a International Imago Relationship therapist she works with couples to identify causes of difficulty and dissatisfaction, guiding them in how to strengthen their connection and relate in a more constructive and fulfilling way.
She is a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and has trained in CBT( Cognitive Behavioural ) EMDR ( Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment ) and Gestalt therapeutic models.
Her approach is holistic, integrating thoughts, emotions and body sensations to help clients make sense of what they experience and focusing on practical ways to achieve a more purposeful and content way of being.
She has a keen personal interest in exercise and nutrition and works hard to maintain a calm, balanced and humorous outlook on life.
