Dr. Lina Hall is Clinical Psychologist for St. John’s Cathedral Counselling Service. Dr. Hall previously specialized for more than a decade in the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder for the US Veterans Administration, treating former members of the armed forces and their families. Previously Dr. Hall worked as a clinical psychologist for more than 10 years in the state psychiatric hospital of South Dakota. Dr. Hall is certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy for Insomnia.
Dr. Hall’s therapeutic approach is multiculturally sensitive as well as evidence based, often drawing on her long experience in interpretation and utilization of psychometric assessment tools. Dr. Hall has extensive experience in the treatment of anxiety and depressive related disorders and her professional experience also includes treatment of personality disorders and thought disorders. She believes it is imperative for her clients to become empowered and to develop effective coping techniques, as well as learn how to change maladaptive behavioral patterns to improve their well being.
Dr. Hall enjoys working with couples and families to improve their daily interactions. Dr. Hall focuses on the needs of the client and building an atmosphere of trust and safety. She measures her ultimate success by the stability and progress in positive life experience that her clients can attain from their accomplishments together in therapy.
Dr. Hall conducts therapy in English and Spanish.
